Our scope:
Tactrix is a clothing brand focused on customized military uniforms, primarily targeting customers within the Finnish military sector, including RUK and AUK. The brand operates within a highly specific niche, where both functionality and identity play a central role in the purchasing decision. The objective of the project was to design and develop a website that not only showcases the products effectively but also reflects the brand’s unique positioning and appeals to its target audience.
Rather than treating the project as a standard e-commerce build, the approach focused on creating a cohesive digital experience where product presentation, brand identity, and user experience work together. The goal was to elevate the perceived value of the brand while ensuring that the website remains clear, structured, and easy to navigate.
Challenge
One of the main challenges in the Tactrix project was balancing niche identity with usability. The brand operates in a space that is visually and culturally distinct, which required a design approach that feels authentic and aligned with the audience, without becoming overly complex or difficult to navigate.
Another challenge was presenting products in a way that highlights both their visual appeal and their practical use. Military-inspired apparel often involves details that are important to the buyer, and the website needed to communicate these clearly while still maintaining a clean and modern layout.
In addition, the website needed to feel premium and trustworthy, despite being part of a relatively niche market. This meant ensuring that the design, structure, and overall experience met the expectations of modern e-commerce standards, while still preserving the brand’s unique identity.
Solution
The website was designed and developed in Framer, allowing for a high level of control over both layout and interactions. The structure of the site was built with a strong focus on product clarity and user flow, ensuring that visitors can easily browse, understand, and engage with the offerings.
Product pages were designed to highlight key details in a structured and digestible way, combining visuals with relevant information to support purchasing decisions. The layout ensures that users can quickly scan the page while still accessing deeper information when needed.
The overall navigation was kept simple and intuitive, reducing friction and making it easy for users to move between categories and products. Subtle animations and interactions were implemented to enhance the experience, creating a modern and responsive feel without distracting from the content.
The result is a streamlined e-commerce experience that prioritizes both usability and visual quality, ensuring that the website supports the brand’s goals while delivering a smooth experience for users.
